Esther Aliu has started a new BOM on her blog called Red Delicious. 11 blocks - all red scraps appliqued on white background. She calls it a mystery but has listed the title of all 11 blocks & they sound darling. The first one is 2 appliqued red birds. 1st block is up until Dec 15 then comes down when #2 goes up, etc. She's using a website called SCRIBD to download them - manuevering in it was a bit strange for me. Take a look:

Hello and welcome to the first of your BOM stitchery/appliqué designs. I was asked by a few people at different times to create something for the forum, then earlier this year Golo badgered me into actually doing it, LOL.

It was hard to decide what to do and eventually we decided that perhaps an aussie theme of some kind could be a good idea. From there I came up with the idea of creating them with a Tasmanian theme. I figured that after all, you all waited with us as the time came to move, ...

Step 1 for the new Applewood Farms BOM, "Now and Forever" has been posted.

The pic and supply list are at http://applewd.com/BOM/page1.html, and at the top right of that page you can click to get the first step (a pdf file).

The technique used for the first block is pretty interesting. I'll have to go back when I've had more coffee...

I can't believe I'm tempted.
